The test will be done in MoodleRooms and will be worth a total of 100 points.
There will be 30 Scantron type questions (multiple choice/true-false) worth 2 points each for a total of 60 points They will be taken from the review questions used for the weekly quiz plus maybe a few questions related to the material in the appendices. The theory portion must be completed before the coding section becomes available. (Time Allotted: 60 Minutes).
The coding section will have 10 questions worth a total of 40 points. (Time Allotted: 90 Minutes)The SCS Assistant will type in the password for the Theory portion of the test. When you have finished and submitted that, then find the SCS Assistant and ask that he/she type in the password for the Coding portion of the test. The Coding test must be begun immediately (within 10 minutes) after the Theory portion is completed.
Notes may be used during the test. The notes may be no larger than one 3”x 5” note card (or sheet of paper of equivalent size). The notes must be student prepared (hand written or word processed) It may not be a photocopy of class handouts, portions of the text, or similar items. It is hoped that by allowing notes it will help students to organize the material and determine the most important concepts.
The notes must be submitted to the SCS Assistant at the end of the test and will not be returned to the student.
There will be a 25 point deduction if the notes used during the test do not meet the above specifications.Think blue! Might want to pay special attention to these items! Hint!
