Test 5
The primary activity this week is to study for the test and to do well on it. Be sure to use the review sheet and to take the test seriously - especially the coding portion.

This is a separate evaluation from the all-college Student Input form you were asked to complete a few weeks back. For me feedback at the end of the course provides information on improving the course for future students.

End of the Semester
The end of the semester is here. I hope you have enjoyed this course and learned a great deal. If you have not already taken it CS2623: Server-Side Programming will be offered next Spring. CS2623: Server-Side Programming and CS2513: Client-Side Programming alternate each semester. CS2513 is a Fall only course, and CS2623 is a Spring only course. So if you or anyone you know plans on taking these courses, sign up at the first possible chance, otherwise there may have to be a year wait before it is offered again.

Study and Come Prepared for Test 5

Test 5 will be scheduled on in the Student Computer Center. http://www.occc.edu/IT/SCC.html.
A valid OCCC student ID is required.
Students must sign into the Student Computer Center at least two hours before closing. The Computer Center does not stay open past closing time for students to complete tests.

The test will be done in the LMS. It is password protected.
Referencing textbooks, using electronic devices such as cell phones, smart phones, iPod/iTouch, electronic dictionaries, translators, calculators, tablets, etc., accessing other websites, visiting with others, or any other activities that could be consistent with cheating are not permitted during the test.
The test will have two parts: theory and coding.
- The theory will be multiple-choice/true-false which will primarily be taken from the optional study questions for each chapter.
- The coding part can be a combination of short answer and writing code snippets.
Upon completing the Theory portion, be sure to submit the test. Then request the SCC assistant type the password so the Coding test can be released. Again, be sure to submit the Coding Test when you have answered all of the questions.
The Theory Test has a 1 hour time limit and the Coding test has a 1 1/2 hour time limit. Tests might not take that long, but this will help make sure there is ample time.
The tests MUST be taken one after the other with no more than 10 minutes in between. Leaving after the Theory test and returning at a later time for the Coding test is not permitted. The LMS tracks the time. Failure to follow this requirement may result in point loss or the second test not being accepted for grading.
A small note card will be allowed (see Test Review) during the test but no textbooks, online resources, or other aids. The note card must be submitted with the test and it will not be returned.
Grading will be done after the final deadline. Students will receive an email once the grading has been completed.
Late testing and retesting is not allowed.
